Hydrogen - Day 1 - Aries

The Path of the Alchemist begins with the first of all elements: Hydrogen.Light, almost invisible, and yet present in nearly everything. Nearly seventy-five percent of the visible matter of the universe is made of it.

It appeared in the very first moments of the Big Bang, when the ocean of fiery energy began to organize itself. Hydrogen was the initial spark, and to this day it remains the seed of the stars. They fuse it to create helium, and in that act they release the light that sustains life. Without this first god, there would be no suns, no water, not even life itself.

On Earth, we find it in water, in every living being, and in the atmosphere in small amounts. Humanity learned to use it as fuel, in the chemical industry, and now also as one of the clean energies of the future. Its name reveals it: hydro and gen, the one that generates water. And that is exactly what it is: origin, spark, and seed of creation.

Every time we drink, breathe, or move, Hydrogen is there, reminding us that life did not begin in us, but rather flows through us from the very beginning.

Aries, the sign of beginnings, teaches us how to invoke its presence: I Am Hydrogen. I Am the first heartbeat of the universe.

To repeat it is to recognize ourselves as the very beginning. Before any identity, name, or personal story, there exists that essence that simply is. We are not seekers of the origin: we are the origin manifested in a body that remembers. Hydrogen is not the past: it is the eternal present. And every time we say “I Am,” the universe breathes with us.

The gesture of this day is simple yet profound. Take a firm step, grounding your heels into the earth, and clearly speak: I Am. The chakra that is activated is the Earth Star, beneath the feet, the place where spirit takes root. Because even the origin needs to incarnate. It is not enough to be a spark in the sky: a body is needed, a ground, a heartbeat that walks.

Thus, the first day of the Path reminds us of something essential: that we are not far from the universe… the universe is here, walking within us.
