Nitrogen - Day 2 - Taurus

On the second day, Nitrogen descends to the Earth to reveal itself as fertility.

Though we constantly breathe it, it also becomes fixed in the soil through bacteria that transform it into nutrients. In this way it nourishes plants, which then nourish animals and human beings. What is invisible becomes root; what is ethereal becomes matter.

Taurus, sign of fertile earth and constancy, recognizes in Nitrogen the force that sustains life from below. Without it, green would not grow, the soil would become barren, and the wheel of existence would lose its essential nourishment.
